Called my sister in Ohio. Stated they were Capitol Providence calling regarding a civil matter. They illegally released all my personal info to my sister, including the amount of the debt and who the debtor was that was "suing" me. Stated I had a court date, never specified the date. Also stated they were a law firm with police en route to arrest me. It was for Cashnet USA.
Backstory-in 2008, we rented a room in our house out to some people, who ended up giving us bogus names/ss#/contact info. By the time we had the full background check done, my identity, my mom, my LATE DECEASED grandmother and deceased father's identities were stolen and phony credit filed. Since 2008, I have been disputing this. I have a block on my credit bureau; I no longer use banks or credit unions, I prefer cash.
Not sure how they got my sister's name/phone#. The company refuses to send me copies of the paperwork. I've contacted our local sheriff's department to file a complaint in 2008. They can't do anything since the party involved in causing the identity theft, used bogus id's themselves, to scam & steal my good name from me. Now I'm in debt collector HELL. I've contacted law firms, but none will help me sue these debt collectors. I've contacted the FTC and filed reports. I've filed reports with the Better Business Bureau. I've changed my number and even have it unlisted & unpublished. I use a number from Google voice, as my contact number.
I have told them in the past, anyone they send onto my property, will be entering at their own disregard for their safety--as they will be trespassing, and I will take it as a direct threat of harm to me & my family. My home is protected by the security firm of Ruger, Glock, and Remington.
At this point not sure what else I can do LEGALLY!. So many things illegally I have thought about doing, but need to make sure I leave no trace of any kind. Thoughts....
