First National CB, allegedly. I've had multiple calls from multiple numbers, multiple times for multiple weeks... For no reason, especially the # being called!! So it's a giant scam, they've got your info from somewhere and tagged it with a 'Case ID' as that's the ONLY thing that's constant on each of these calls from this [***] operation. Real simple, fake call recording stating the SAME GUY each time has a new generic name and he's from Arbitration Inbred Stupid(#*$#s and making it sound like a threat that you're goin to Court. Trust me, you're not, they're after your ID for theft or something but it ain't legal and legit litigation or you'd have snail mail to back it up!
So this crappy message from the same guy with a new name each time as well as a new # to call him back coming from new, faked VoIP phone #'s (potentially even spoofed) demands a callback with a Reference # that never changes and you have 4 days or they'll get your [***]. To make sure it's not actionable legally, they candy coat it so they can get out of it if they're ever nailed.
HANG UP. Let it go to voicemail, set every last # you get it from to be blocked if you can. Report it, but it's almost impossible to get nailed.
This number is probably spoofed. I just got the call and my husband answered. They asked for me by name (that's pretty scary). When he asked who was calling male Pakistani (red flag) said he needed to tell me that my computer is infected. We get these calls at least once a week, so telling them to leave us alone was easy.
Just as a warning, when this particular scam first started, a naive friend believed them. She let them into her computer and they stole her identity and crashed her computer when they were through. Microsoft will NEVER call you to say there's something wrong with your computer.
