Got a call from the Rachelbot concerning medicare supplemental insurance. I played with her for a few seconds. When I asked her if she was a robot she said, "Of course not, I'm a human." Then when I asked how was the weather in Massachusetts there was a long pause and then she went back to her pre-progammed spiel about insurance. Then I asked her if she was gong to vote for the Trumpbot and the line went dead.
This number calls here at least 10 times per week. Usually let it go to VM but answered today. I think I just cussed out a robot! We are both retired and our phones ring incessantly with these typesbof calls. DNC list is a joke.
I recently turned 65. These Medicare and Medicare Supplemental Insurance scam calls started back in December and only increased in frequency as my actual birthday approached. I never answer a call from a number that I don't now. I always come to this site to see what comments have been posted regarding a particular number. The DNC list doesn't work because these are criminals calling you, and most of these scumbags are not even in the U.S. . I would like to know how these thieves are able to get access to all of the phone numbers that they use. It seems to me that our phone companies are the ones that allow these thieves to continue to operate.
By the way, I'm permanently disabled and have been on Medicare and also have carried Supplemental Insurance for well over a decade.
So are we---we get more of these telemarketing/spam/"medinfo" calls than we do from people we know! My husband turns 65 in September. We would also like to know how these people know that information and how they got our number!
