I got the same call, Federal Warrant, iimportation of controlled susstance,,,blah, blah, blah. Short story was Wire $1,750 now to the Dominican Republic in 45 minutes, and tell the clerk you know the person your wiring the $$ to. I agreed, got off the phone (rather shaken up to say the least) ad called the DEA to confirm the agents name. The DEA was very nice, said its a scam, not to worry, Call the police if they continue to bother you.
I got a missed call tonight from #347-498-0498 which is another scam #. I'll block this call too. Something needs to be done about this!

I had a business meeting so I have to stop conversation Need to call first thing in morning. The officers name was John Gilbriite and when I told him was going to be in isreal for approx 3 weeks then spending time with family in Phoenix instantly turned me over to a "smarter" mr Bradon Hall

They were closing for the day so now I call them tomorrow.
HELPED!!!!!! I am so going crazy right now I don't know what to so
Thanks for any helpful info you can share with me
This sounds like a scam. If they really had a warrant, they'd just serve you -- they would not give any advance notice via phone.
Regarding the credit card fraud -- I am not clear on if you committed the fraud or if your identity was stolen and the fraud happened that way.
I do not understand from your post if this current problem has to do with debt/credit cards or with something drug-related (since you later mention DEA). If you can clarify please, other posters more knowledgeable than I may be along to give you more detailed advice.
Call your local police or write to your local DEA Office. These are scammers, next time they call tell them your reported them to the Police and the real DEA. Get caller ID, and only answer from numbers you know.
IT IS A SCAM!! It's called "The DEA Extortion Scam". There is a webpage on the REAL DEA website that gives you a phone number to report these creeps! Here's the link:
