Got a call from a man "David" with a thick accent claiming that there was a lawsuit filed against my social security number and if I didnt call to handle the situation the police would come after me and I could possibly lose my job.
they called me left a message stating that i need to call immediately as there was a fraudelent case against me and i will be handed a subpona. he had a very bad accent and he stated he was from pcs law & investigation at 1001 e queen st in Ithaca NY (which he could not pronounce the city) he then proceeded to tell me that i would have to hire an attorney and my credit report would lose 300 points, my supervisor and manager will be subpoena.
at the end of the conversation he stated that he would drop the entire case if i just paid the $300.00, i told him i would have to check and see if i would have any money in my account, he stated he would call me back and i was not to talk to anyone regarding this matter
i received 3 calls from a "david stevens" about a lawsuit they would file. Obvious ripoff and scam. these call began after I asked for some information online about a short term payday loan which was never applied for. I asked for a call back number and he gave me 347-242-xxxx (I will not post her last 4 digits) . The lady started cursing me because they stole her phone number as a call back. There are 3 or 4 of them. one claiming to be a supervisor. all of them curse and swear like it is the funniest thing in the world to them that you are upset. DO NOTgive these fools any personal information as they have obviously stolen it and all they need is a little bit more to rip you off. They previously were using numbers out of the culver city california area code.
"john smith" called me and left a message stating that i had a fraudulent case against my social security number and that i should call him back immediately to resolve it. Two mins before he called me, he called my mother about my sister with the same info.
