I am getting several calls per day from someone claiming to be the IRS. I know it is fake but how do I stop them from calling in the first place?

i got this message: "Don't try to disregard this call . We have determined that there is a deficiency in your income tax." definitely a scam! IRS wont give you a call, a formal notice is the legal way.
Got a call from this number. In a heavily accented (South Asian I think) voice, he threw around names like "Damon Marshall," "Stuart Williams" and even referenced a conversation i had with a "Brian Cruz."
Needless to say...all of this came across as sketchy. I did not give him any information. And when I called the number back (to learn more before reporting), I hesitated a moment before even repeating my number. At that point, they clicked off and never answered again.
