Got the same mesasage 2 days ago... Strange...

Im in Australia and with Telstra, got this message on Jan 19th 2011 at 9.24 AST. Its says:

Congratulation! Your Mobile No! has won you
$1,000,,000,00 in the ongoing MOBILE LOTTERY
USA.Ref:US10J8 Contact Dr Bell among at [email protected] to process your claim.

What a cruel and pathetic thing to do...They could at least get the grammar and punctuation right!!!!! I didnt think a million dollars had two commas. SCAMMING SCUM!!!!!

I got the message through my mobile.

I looked up the USA mobile lottery on the net and it appeared to be dinkum. However like any lottey you have to pay for a ticket. I had not purchased a ticket in this lotery.
I was curious so had some email communications with them. First with Mary and then with Swift Dispatch. This is a Courier Co. in Canada, but I was getting USA emails and telepone numbers, naturally very suspicious.
Then the next thing they wanted was $450 for them to courier (6 day turnaround) the "international cheque". This was the cheapest option. The dearest was overnight for $750.
Included in the courier cost was a $200 vat cost. I suggested to them that this was nearly 90% of the courier cost. Also as far as I can ascertain USA does not have vat or gst.
I asked them to justify this. At this point they suggested I was asking too many questions and were referring me back to the lottery company.
Obviously I outwitted them and am expectantly awaiting the Courier to arrive with my $500,000 cheque.
I presume it's in US dollars so tht would be an even better windfall.
