I keep getting a call from this number. Never leaves a message. I dialed the number back. A voice explains they are calling on behalf of your cable TV, Internet or telephone provider. If you would like to be added to the do not contact list please enter your number. I did (I figured it could not hurt because they were allready calling it.) NO MORE CALLS.
Have been receiving repeated calls from 386-267-1892, CallerID: Evergreen Sales. Most of the time, when I answer, they just hang up. When I let it go to the answering machine, they hang up. Today, they responded to my answer stating that they were Charter Cable offering phone service. I said no and please put me on their do not call list. They said OK and it would take up to 30 days. I seriously doubt they will do it.
I get tons of calls from this number, and have filed countless complaints on the national do not call web site (I'm on that list). It doesn't help though because the government rarely actually enforces this law. Still, I just filed another one, and emailed evergreen sales to be removed from their call list. I also CC'd my senator's email address, for whatever that's worth (along with my comentary on this supposed "no-call" list). These companies only listen to lawyers trying to make a buck on class-action lawsuits. I wish they'd bring one on against Evergreen.
