Received text from "Hector" just like the others who have reported on this thread after listing boat on boat trader. Hector wanted to buy boat sight unseen and use PayPal. I told him I only do in person transactions and haven't heard from him since.
Just got same text. Below is my text exchange. Give me a break, who buys a boat this way....
"Hi this is Hector, is this boat still for sale? (year, make, model, price)"
ME: "Hello, it is still available but I suspect for not too much longer. Are you in the xxxxx area?"
HECTOR: "Hello, I got the boat listed for sale on boat trader. Your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others I've seen lately, I'll take it. I would have loved to come check it out my self but I'm very busy at work. That's why I'll make arrangement for the pick up and delivery. Anyway, if you don't mind me asking. What's your name? Who is the right owner? Do you have PayPal for the payment? Please get back to me before we proceed with the transaction."
ME: "Hector, give me a call and we can discuss. xxx-xxx-xxx. My name is xxxxx".
