"Annabelle" from the "Awards Claim Center" left voice mail on my work number claiming that I'd won either a Ford Explorer or $25,000. Requested that I return call at 1-800-918-4224 and reference claim # FNTP3112. Call came in at 10:13am EDT on Saturday, 8/4/07.
Idiots. Got a real voice first time and the guy replied that I was "being cryptic" because I refused to answer yes to any of his questions. I kept replying, "can I help you?" I also attended the Dale Carnegie class of telephone solicitation that teaches future idiots to get at least three afirmative answers from your 'sucker on line'.
Got a call back with 'Unknown caller' on the ID. Recorded message of harrassment of requesting that you press number 1 or 2. Waste of my time!
Got a call from this number 9:40 AM at work. I did not pick it up as I suspected it was a scam - and it was - a lady left a message saying I was awarded a Ford Explorer and gave me a 1-800 number and urged me to call since "it's very important."
