can't call them i tried to and the number says that it has been disconnected. i called my phone company and was told those kind of people can call out but no one can call them.
Message left on recorder (woman's recorded voice) offering lower credit card rate and saying I must act now. No mention of who is calling, which credit card, or call back number. Press "1" to speak to someone or "2" to stop receiving calls. Am on Do Not Call list. Web search showed number is a 'land line' in Daytona Beach, Florida but no other details. Searches lead to Intelius site that offers details for a cost. Suspect a scam.
Does 800notes.com pass information from our postings to telephone company security departments, law enforcement, or a state's Consumer Affairs or Attorney General's office?
Just before 9 pm tonight, I received a recorded call on my cell phone. Woman's voice states that it is an important call regarding my credit card. Assures there is no problem with the card but I must act immediately to get a lower interest rate on the card. At that point in the message I hung up...no mention of what card company she represented, so I was immediately suspicious that it was a scam of some type.

Fraud/ marketing.
These people found a way to bypass the DO NOT CALL LIST!! I should call them up when they are on vaction and are on do not disturb mode. Let's see how that feels...
Same as above, recorded message, and no one there. I've had at least a call a week for a couple of months. I'm going to the Do Not Call registry web site right now and reporting them (by number). If more people report the number on the do not call web site, they will be fined if we are registered as a "do not call" number, which I have been for years. Please report them! I believe it's a 10,000 fine. They are required to quiry the list every 3 months by law I believe.
