A call from the number went unanswered a short time ago because I didn't recognize it. I won't report it to the "National Do Not Call Registry" because it would be a waste of my time. I've reported numbers to them many times, but calls from those numbers continue to come in. In my opinion, this outfit exists only to collect taxpayers' money and is worthless in stopping annoying calls.
Mine was only slightly different from above. I got an automated message that my auto warranty was about to expire. I pressed 1 to talk to a person, who asked me to verify the make and model of my vehicle. I asked him which one he was calling about, and he said the one with the warranty that was about to expire. Ironically, my fiance and I each have the exact same car (same year, same make & model, even same color), only we purchased them before we knew each other. But without telling him about the same cars, I only asked him if it was for the 1998 or the 2002 (both of our cars are 2006's). He just said it was the one with the warranty about to expire. I asked him who this warranty is with and he hung up.
I have already filed my complaint with the https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I am also filing a complaint with my Attorney General office.
I continue to receive calls from this number, the latest being at 7:26 this evening. The woman wanted said that she wanted to advise me about my car warranty. I have not owned a car for several years and, when I disposed of the last car, it was ten years old - no warranty!! I, too, am on the Do Not Call List, but this has not stopped the calls.
