These people call every few months. I did answer it once and immediately called the Sheriff's office and found out it is a scam. They are trying to get your bank account information to withdraw money. I didn't give them anything and advise that no one does.
They keep calling, left a message said something about an arrest warrant. I believe it is a debt collector for pay day loans. Cashnet USA or Plain Green Loans. Message was for someone else. Told them they have the wrong person but they still keep calling.
My mother received a call from these people with a threatening message left for me. They stated they represent the law office of Coleman and Johnson, and that at noon today they will be filing felony court charges against me unless I call them and provide a statement. This is a scam, and also a violation of the FDCPA. They have been calling me for months, different law firm names and different "secretary" name, but always the same threat of felony charges filed at noon. I have asked every time for a mailing address to send a cease and desist to, at which point they always hang up, only to call back a month later with different names and phone numbers. They are dirtbag debt buying scammers.
This number called me so I called back... it is suppose to be the # for the law offices of Johnson an Coleman. The secertary is Patricia Scott. An the lawyer is James Broks. As I was speaking to Mr. Brooks, he decided that he didnt like my answers so he proceeded to call me a Smart [***] lil [***].. an would not answer any of my ?s .
