Yep, I'm in trouble too with the all the courts in the world, all the magic-strates, ustreasury(located somewhere outside the real US), etc. I think these are the same dudes who wanted to "help" with my computer, calling from "microw soft". Usually they don't leave a message but I guess they were a bit desperate, didn't make their month. Don't fall for these dudes. I think calling back just informs them they've got somebody's attention & another shot. These guys are big time scammers, just after money, willing to do & say anything to get it. The latest scams need to be reported so others will be prepared when these creeps come calling with their latest bs.
Steve Martin is getting around with this call. He said, in a clipped accent, that if I don't respond it is an intentional offense and he mentioned the USTreasury. I listened to his message that was on my answering machine and did not pick up the phone.
Just received a disturbing phone call from someone named Steve Martin doing an investigation for the US Treasury. If I didn't return call I would be facing charges with judges. The man was not American and spoke broken english. Beware!!!!!!!!!Pretty sure this is a scam call.
Received a call from "Steve Martin" with an accent this morning, regarding an enforcement action fro the U.S. Treasury on a criminal offense. Reported this to the FTC and added number to call block. I don't know what rock these creeps keep crawling out from under, but I think we should smash some rocks.
Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated.
Left a message, spoke with Indian or Pakistani accent, claimed I needed to help him help me. Obvious scammer. Don't people pay phone bills for numbers? Aren't these bills paid by an identifiable entity? Why is dodging the bullet the only defense?
