called & said he was Dell tech. support. claimed they're getting ALERTS that my computer is having problems with viruses !!
{ which I have been } but used my anti - virus to clean up.
I had the same kind of call a mo. ago that my IP address had changed 11 times. When I called DELL & inquired about that. was told
it was a scam call since DELL would not know that. Unless I called to report I was having problems !!
I almost fell for this one. I have Dell Concierge. My husband thought it was a legitimate call from Dell and handed me the phone. I thought something was wrong when I didn't get the usual music in the background when they put me on hold. Thank goodness I wised up and hung up on them.
id the had my i.p. address on THE central server and found errors with my computer. I have my own server and very good security. Had to inform them what they are doing is illegal, they didn't care. Hung up on them.
I wish these frickin' [***] would quit calling. They call from all sorts of different numbers. You can tell by their accent they are either East Indian, Pakastani, Iranian or some other Middle Eastern decent. Always claim that they are Dell or Microsoft certified software people and that my computer has a virus. My achin' [***] my computer has a virus. If the government really wants to control everything, start controlling these frickin' [***] losers!!
