I received call today from 571-210-5552 , went to voice mail, Indian accent ( I don't answer calls unless are in my contacts)
Clear IRS scam , I added right away to my rejects list
It is very good that people are reporting , saving your time and in some cases money.
I know somebody that was almost ready to pay $2K to these crooks for a similar call!
I have received two calls and voicemail messages from 571-210-5552. The latest one was this afternoon. The message said to be prepared to face the legal consequences. THey leave their number, but coincidentally (or not), it's difficult to figure out their name. I think they leave the name of the company before the recording starts.
Received the same message on my home voicemail. Caller had a Indian accent. Stated the following: "...from the Internal Revenue Service that is IRS. The reason behind this call is to notify you that we have received a Legal Petition Notice regarding Tax Evasion a Tax Fraud on your lien. If you want any further information about your case file call give us a callback as quick as possible on a direct hotline number to the the IRS headquarters, that is 571-210-5552. I again repeat the number 571-210-5552. If I we don't receive a call from your side be prepared to face the legal consequences as the issue extremely serio..."
The message didn't start normally or end completely
Just got the same call as everyone else. Guy left his message and ended with the have a blessed day after threatening me.
Didn't read this blog so was unaware what it could be so I called the famous 571-210-5552 number. No one answered, then the phone went off hook. Now I think the scammers got my name from the caller ID. I should have done this search for this scam before. OH well. At least I know I am not being hunted.
I will probably have some fun with them when they call back asking for me personally. I will keep you all posted.
past two weeks getting the same b.s. calls on my cell and landline both i.d.ed sterling va. and #571-210-5552.Yeah its a good idea to keep letting the scum of the earth thru the u.s. borders.but hey they almost got me a few years back,reaching out from port o prince haiti ,,,two weeks later they felt the wrath of God when He just about leveled that cesspool....Dont answer the phone if aint sure who it is.
