12/5/14@10:26am I just received this exact call from an Indian sounding guy on my home phone. I didn't answer but it seemed suspicious so I googled the urgent number he left 571-210-5552 hotline #. We r the internal revenue arrive..that is IRS... Reason behind this call...We have received a legal petition noticed...re: tax evasion tax fraud on your name. If you want any further info on your case file give us a back asap on direct hotline# IRS headquarters. 5712105512. If we don't receive a back from you be prepared to face legal consequences if you don't call back.. Have a blessed day. (That's pretty much the guy's message. No name left. No salution to me or my girlfriend and both our names are on the answering machine.)
Same voicemail. I'm glad there is a forum to check out this stupid bs. I had another similar call a few months back with a person speaking such poor English I knew right then it was a fraud
Got the call saying from the IRS. I tried to call this Bozo back to ask him his name, Gov't badge number, Dept., Supervisor, but it continues to be busy. The Bozo with an accent threatened a law-suit (sure) for unpaid taxes.
