I answered the call because I thought it might be about a job I had applied for in the DC area. But when there was a long pause after I said "Hello," I immediately hung up just as some guy started to say something. I then checked Whitepages.com, and sure enough, several people have reported this number as a scam. I also think it's a scam, and I blocked the number on my cellphone.
I answered he call they started telling me about lowering my Auto insurance. Once I asked about the company they were with they started asking me about my personal information. Hung up they have called every 20 minutes since 9:30 am. The car their asking me about was totaled in a car accident December of 2015. I gave the phone to my husband so he answer it because it was in his name how they got my information is unknown. Now my husband tried telling them it was his car never in my name and they won't talk to him. When he tried recalling them it tells us the number is out of service and it turns out to be a cell phone number.
