Recieved email today that would have arrest warrant and court case regarding default of payment to Internet payday loan company. I have never had one of those. This was the call back number, attempted to call, went to voicemail with some guy with heavy Indian accent. Whatever.
Recv'd this call this morning, 3/29/16 from a purported I.R.S. Agent named Madan Au Aurora, leaving a voice mail stating that a "lawsuit" was going to be filed against me "today" in my local circuit court for some unspecified reason. The caller had an unidentified foreign accent, had poor pronunciation and poor grammar. The caller urged me or my attorney to return his call. I assumed this was one of the typical I.R.S. scams and did not return the phone call. IRS publications have repeatedly stated that any official action involving a taxpayer will first be announced in writing, and certainly with advance notice before taking a taxpayer to court.
Same situation as above...Recv'd this call this afternoon 12:45 pm EST, 3/30/16 from a purported I.R.S. left a voice mail stating that a "lawsuit" was going to be filed against, said not to ignore this message and to return the call. Also in my experience, everything IRS does is in writing.
