I looked up that organization, and if you do some research it is listed as one of the top ten WORST organizations. Don't ever give to anything that you don't pursue yourself. Unsolicited anything is bad.

If it's on your land line, then a number blocker is the only way to go. You have to have caller ID, I also added caller identify...
no unknown numbers get through... and your all set. There is no time limit like most phone co's give you, and I can erase from mine any time I want. Thing I found is that once they realize they are blocked, they will wait for a month or two  then try again. My Verizon erases every 90 days, not sure about home phone company. But for what they charge a month to block only a few numbers the blocker is more way more cost efficient and stores 1200 numbers.

Caller ID:  Wireless Caller;  called at 6:45pm to our DNC registered number.   Rang 4 times; left no message.  Obvious robocall.  Complaint filed with FTC Complaint Assistance.

I missed this first call so I called them instead. Man threw me a disabled veteran pitch and asked if they could count on me for a donation. I told him I had nothing to give and cut myself off by hanging up. I probably set myself up for more spam calls by returning but it won't be from this number since it's been added to the blocked list. Incredible all the worthless calls for donations I receive anymore. Donate once, you're going to get hammered with numerous calls and if you say you're going to, you have to or you'll never hear the end of it. These callers are nothing but a nuisance.

Trust me, scammers pay money for lists of numbers for a possible hit. While you might not have given to a veteran's organization before, all these guys need is to know if they've got a live number, which you give just by answering a call. Also, if you've given to a legitimate charity, rest assured you'll be hit with many more calls asking for donations for organizations you didn't even know exist.
