Second time I've answered the phone and through considerable static, "Mike", in an unintelligible accent, addressed me by my first name, which he was unable to pronounce. He mentioned something about car insurance, then asked what my zip code was, to which I replied I do not give information over the phone and hung up. We vacationed in VA last summer. I wonder if these jokers have access to hotel records or something like that.
This caller is only identified as "Wireless Caller" on the Caller ID. N message left. After research found out it is "carinsure.com. I have no idea why they are calling I have had the same auto insurance for years.
Claimed to be from Auto Care. When asked what I could help her with she asked if I was Mrs. Davis. When told she had the wrong number she got a bit huffy. I've suddenly been getting lots of telemarketing calls on my cell. What a pain.
Finally after a ton of calls (up to 5 a day for 3 weeks from 4 different VA area codes) when I answered the call they didnt hang up right away. The line was full of static and a guy with a very heavy accent addressed me by my first name and told me he was with Auto Care. I told him to stop calling, he laughed, I hung up and havent heard anything since. Weird. That was last night at 7...lets see what today brings.
I have been getting calls from this number for months. Every time I answer, the line gets cut. When I call back, I get a message saying the number is not in use... I have not signed up or asked for any kind of insurance information, or given out my number online... This all makes me very frustrated and angry.
