Second time I've answered the phone and through considerable static, "Mike", in an unintelligible accent, addressed me by my first name, which he was unable to pronounce. He mentioned something about car insurance, then asked what my zip code was, to which I replied I do not give information over the phone and hung up. We vacationed in VA last summer. I wonder if these jokers have access to hotel records or something like that.
Some guy with an Indian accent informing me that auto insurance rates went down 35%. I told him I already have car insurance and he says he's not selling auto insurance. I said thanks, hung up and blacklisted the number.
I answered a call from this number and the person said his name was "Austin".
"Austin" claimed it was not a sales call, but that it was a verification call. (Huh? What?)
Judging by his foreign accent, I would expect that "Austin" would be seen wearing a towel.
To ditch calls from this number or any other number I do not want to answer, I created a free account at youmail.com.
If I do not answer a call from any number on my "Ditched" list, a call from those numbers will get the "Tri-Tone" followed by an announcement that my number is disconnected. They will not be allowed to leave a message.
But if I answer the call before the Youmail system picks it up, the ditch will not work.
It takes a little practice, but it is well worth the effort.
Good luck!
Sure enough, got a call from 5712753645 and I come here for a look up, and telemarketer alright. I just blocked it by text 9999 and then type "spam 5712753645". They can never text/call u again. Thanks, 800notes.
These idiots at 571-275-3645 called me, and claimed my name was David. I asked what they wanted he asked if i needed car insurance, first guy i talked to wouldn't tell me a name. After i told him no after trolling him a bit he got angry and asked if i wanted medical, I asked if it was a prank call, he HANDED, I repeat HANDED the phone to another guy named Mike. Mike was instantly rude, claimed he knew my address and that I was going to be reported to the police for asking him what his name was, and if anyone could speak English in his office. He said his name was Meek, the Mick, then Mike. As I told him to not call me anymore he began to tell me F you, Mother F'er, etc. These guys are the perfect people to troll.
