Called (for the umpteenth time) and asked for my wife. I started repeating everything he was saying and he finally hung up on me. I love messing with these low-life scammers.
Called asking for my son. Said he was approved for an unsecured loan of $10,000. I confronted the lady with an Indian accent and asked her to remove my number from her list.
This number called me at 10:49 a.m. on 11/14/14. I didn't pick up, and a recorded, heavily-accented voice said that it was Ben someone from Bank of America, confirming that I'd recently applied for a $10,000 loan. I never had, of course, it was a scam.
Just got a call from this number. Fellow with a heavy accent. Here is how the call went (obviously I've changed our names).
Him: Hello, Is Jane Doe there?
Me: I'm sorry who are looking for? (I couldn't understand him over the accent).
Him: Jane Doe.
Me: This is her husband.
Him: Great, nice to talk to you Mr Doe. I am from Cash America and I have a loan application here from your wife.
Me: I doubt it.
Him: Are you still there?
Me: Yes.
Him: Yes so I have the application here, and I just need to know how much money you were looking to borrow?
Me: If you had the application, then you would know how much money.
Repeat the above 2 lines several times before I hang up.
