Received a phone call from this number yesterday after I hung up on the 202-239-0143. Both claiming to be with the IRS and what was strange it was the same guy at both numbers. Sounded like a middle easterner. Told me there was a lawsuit against me for 2008-2012 and asked me if I received any paperwork in January of this year and wanted to know why I've never responded. I played along to see where this was going. He was using scare tactics on me by saying that they would contact my employer and have my wages garnished and also have my bank accounts frozen.
Clearly this is a scam the IRS would never file a lawsuit nor would they threaten anyone on the phone. He called back a third time and this time he left a message however I owe no monies and I have no intentions of calling him back. BEWARE!!!!
Get atleast 1 call a week from this number, I'll answer it and it sounds like someone is hanging up right away. I call it back and says the number isn't in service.
