Got another call from this number.. several over the past month.. first I owe taxes .. call back .. that is not true, Now it is 4 Federal charges have been associated with my name call this number back or call 202-803-9000 (another known scam number for IRS issues) DO NOT answer the call... let them leave a message then BLOCK them. ALL it is is out of country scammers trying to get what you have.
Thick Indian accent, claimed he was Officer Eric Thompson calling from "Virginia IRS offices", stated I am facing arrest on several charges if IRS debt is not paid. I have NO debt and told him if this were official business they would have mailed me documentation, not cold called me from a random number. He said "if you feel that way, I will end this call" and hung up. Totally something the IRS would do if I owed them enough money to have criminal charges filed against me, right? LOL
BLOCK THESE PEOPLE and DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. If you do talk to them, tell them you will report them to the Treasury Inspector General and the FTC, then DO IT!
Got the same call today from a man claiming to be officer Mark Brown. He gave a badge number and a case number and he claimed that my taxes have been audited from 2010 to 2015. Discrepancies were found on lines 3 and 8, 7, 9 and 11 and that I owed over $1000. He had a heavy accent and was barely understandable. I did get that the federal govt was filing charges against me if I did not pay my debt. When I asked him to repeat himself for the 3rd or 4th time he hung up. I love messing with these people... Lol.
I also got this call from this scammer from the IRS. I was told I had 5 pending issues that I owe the IRS and they will press charges in the courthouse. I wonder if these F wad idiots know if I filed my taxes with a specific company online AND had it reviewed and paid a little extra for the guarantee.
I had a message on vm telling me I'm being charged with 4 federal charges and I should call them back before the police come to get me! They also gave me the original number they called from. Told me not to disregard the message. Ended the message with GOOD LUCK! LOL!!!! This is not how notification would be made if charges were filed. Also, I'm a law abiding, tax paying citizen so no worries. Scammers! So sick of them!
