I have been receiving calls from this number. The person says he is John and he wants to set up a delivery date for the equipment. He says it was recommended for me by a friend or family member. He says it is the same as the medical alert that you see advertised on TV. He is rude and talks nonstop so you will not have a chance to say anything. After finding out the nature of the call, I hang up on him if it comes through again. I am also on the "do not call" registry. I would love to know how to stop this caller.
Looks like these douches got a new number. I do appreciate the trickiness that they try to fool people with thinking someone is actually leaving a message. Still...douches. DNC does nothing. Number blocked.
You are correct. The DNC was not established, intended for handling scam calls, nor does it block anyone's unwanted callers. It is only "a list" purchased by Legitimate FTC Registered Telemarketers and is based upon the honor system of those Registered Telemarketers, to limit telephone calls for the sale of goods or services, to those on that list. Nothing else!
This number called 2 times today but I never got the call. I tried to call the number back but got a busy signal. I wish I would not get these telemarketer calls. We too are also on the DNC registry. So much for that.
