I got the same call. I guess I missed it because it came in September and I caught it while going through old voicemails. I knew it was total BS but I called back anyway just to see what they'd say. I got a voicemail asking me my situation so I could be moved to the top of the priority list. I hadn't even finished listening to his message before he called back. I told him I had received a message about a "Federal Investigation" and he told me he was sorry and that it was a mistake. I hope people don't actually fall for this stuff.
Man with Indian accent called, said he was "from the IRS" and said I was under investigation. He kept repeating himself and asking for my name and the call broke up, first time I called back, second time I didn't because this appears to be a scam.
Someone called and reported that my federal case was under investigation and to call back today. Seems like spam based on everything else listed about this number.
I just got the same call. Him or someone with same scam used to call for me under my old number long after I got a new number. Years later and I'm still "under investigation". I wish they'd hurry up and arrest me! :P
