Got a call from him this morning. Didn't answer the call. In the message he states he is Officer Eric and that I need to call back immediately regarding a very important issue...etc. Same as others have mentioned. The number he called is a Google Voice number I have. So I called back on my cell which would how as a different number. He answered and said he needed to see what information he had on this number. There was a few minutes of silence he then came back and said that there was no information on this number and asked my name. I simply said someone had called this number about an important issue to which he repeated that he doesn't have any information on this number. I then said I could tell him the exact number he had called. He then became extremely upset and started cursing at me and hung up. I think I'll call back just to harass him. If only there was a way to catch these people quickly.
Just received the same call on my business cell phone, The accent made it difficult to clearly understand him. It appears through a review of the shear number of complaints with the callers name as Jason Miller @ 571-298-8533, the CallerID system is a spoof, which is extremely easy to do from what I understand.
Message received on my phone was from 571-551-0120. Message was from an officer Eric Foster regarding urgent attention. This worried me as I have family up north and became concerned, so I returned the call. Another officer spoke with me regarding a claim that the IRS had on me. IWe have no issues with the IRS. Told him he had just made a waisted call, said goodbye and hung up.
