Hey guys, justa follow up - asking to be put on the no call list did not work (after numerous attempts). However, after choosing the option to speak to "a friendly representative" several times and verbally abusing them the calls have finally stopped. I have not had any calls for the past week - answer the call and have some fun!
These PENNSYLVANIA calls started on 7-20. They have called from this one, 610-188-5633, and from
610-153-5689
610-166-9500
610-188-5400
610-168-9616
610-156-8477 (caller ID "UNKNOWN")
610-165-7805
All of them are invalid numbers, according to Intelius. None of them left a message.
It may be Great American Power - they generate an invalid phone number on your caller ID - most are 610 area code with 188, 168, 147, 177, 145 and 078 prefix. I have received over 300 calls since early July...they will not add you to the do not call list. I answer the phone and choose option 3 and then abuse the telemarketer.
Here's a list of the numbers I've received these calls from since 7/12/12. Once in a while I'll get two calls from the same number but usually not. As Gertie said, none of them are valid numbers and they never leave a message. Surely there's something that can be done about this.
