Received a call allegedly originating from (610) 601-4093 and (610) 266-2644 - Both robo-calls offering a "Clear Your Credit" program to "get 80% off your debt settlement". Both recordings stated to call (844) 710-8965 to arrange this.
I called the number, lady answered as "Legal Processing", looked up my number and said they were looking for some Alejandro so-and-so. Never heard of him.. Wrong number so she claims will remove my number.
Problem is, yesterday received calls from both those numbers, and both times were people claiming they were going to get the Sheriff to come arrest me for "Felony defraud of a financial institution" and "Breach of contract" over some claimed debt from 1999. They also threatened to put a lien on my bank account, garnish my wages, and take my car and other personal possessions in order to fulfill my debt.
This is nothing but a fly-by-night pump-n-dump bottom feeder collector who typically have no legal basis to take any action - except for scare tactics hoping the people they call can be frightened into paying money towards a debt that cannot be proven is theirs in the first place.
The problem is that companies like these operate under multiple fictitious names and use a scheme of call forwarding and number spoofing so they cannot be easily traced back to the source in order to send the physical cease-and-desist letter needed to get them to stop calling.
I hope these people and their children all get cancer.
