Sales call from a home security company "Looking for a model home in your area to receive a 'free' wireless home security system just for placing a sing in your yard."
TH. I am in the Atlanta area and I got a call fom them at about 3:30 PM. I moved here about three years ago. As a result of becoming a new property owner I have sort of had a target on my back ever since. What you have described seems to be pretty much typical of these telephone snakes. Never a reply when you answer. No answer if you do a call back. I have to wonder how these low lifes get paid. And, for what? Most calls made? Any results? I am still getting about 5 of tyese calls a day. Never answer any of them. The number displays on my TV screen so I am warned. Unfamiliar number? Out of area? Important-leave a message. But, these folks never endure the four rings to get to the answering machine. After I moved to the area I bought a ProCallBlocker. Available many places online. For about $50 you can block up to 1500 calls. Problem solved. Annoying calls are now mostly history. Good luck, Tom
