Have a new computer program to block calls. I just started blocking numbers by area code. Only numbers on my white list and contacts get to me. So far it has been working great. Had a pretty big list of area codes to block as I have been collecting all the scam calls for sometime. This all started once I retired.
Check to see what is the minimum number of digits need to program a block. My phone will block with as few as 2 digits, so if I block say 41, that will block 410, 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417, 418, 410. So I can also do that for 42, 43, 44...etc. If you can block with as few as 2 digits you'll save quite a bit of input. Using that process I have over 96% of possible (actual and fictitious area codes blocked (including toll free).
I was waiting for an insurance callback from PA, so answered. Usually never answer unfamiliar numbers. Robotic sounding voice trying to fence "free" home security system, after I had to say "hello" several times. UGH I told them on DNC (of course does NADA). Will block immediately if they call again.
