I consider these calls harassment and stalking. I will be writing my US Senator and Congressman to bring this issue (and this particular number as an example) to their attention and ask that they expand the "do not call" program to include non-profit organizations. We get 6 - 10 calls a day from solicitors --some people, some computers.
I am a licensed PA attorney who has been getting these weird midnight phone calls from the so called PA fire fighters. They leave weird messages that sound like cars moving in the bkgrnd. My ex wife lives out in CA and started to get the same calls. WTF do PA firefighters have to do with Sacramento CA? My paralegal ran a search on these guys. Be very careful. What we came up with is totally creepy. I would suggest reporting these calls to the state police and keeping an eye out for any unusual activity. These individuals are NOT scamming anyone but they are STALKING people for very mysterious reasons. How you get on their list is mysterious in itself.
