My cell phone is personal.  I don't want any businesses selling me ANYTHING on my cell phone.

Stop calling.

Just got my first call from them today.  Glad this site was here so I could identify who the caller was.  As with me...no message.  I have found that this company really has no care at all bout the quality of their service.  NONE....I have had many requests from them for an email service evaluation; and when I tell um what I think..NADDA.  no one cares. No return phone call, nothing.  I actually had one of the sales reps curse at me once over the phone.  Oh well.  Welcome to the new America and the new way of doing business.  And we wonder why this County is in the condition it's in.

Claims to be 1and1.  However, if you dig into comments left by people on this and other sights, you'll see from people that actually answered the phone that it is a scam - they ask for passwords & 1and1 proper affirms that they would never ask for password over phone.

from "Ge" Mar 1, 2012 on whocallsme:

"I received a call from 610-560-1500 at 5:54pm today which I suspect maybe a scam. A lady, claiming herself to be a staff of 1and1.com, tried to offer me a trail of website tool. After I said you can send me an email, she continue to ask my password for the domain administration. I expressed I would never say any password over the phone, she tried to threaten me that she would change my admin password temporary if I do not verify the password and the conversation had been recorded, and this was the policy of your company. I never heard such a policy with any business and seriously asked her to send me a document or a page indicating such a rule and I would turn to a lawyer. I didn't receive any email till now (midnight)."

Also from whocallsme, Concernedcustomer100 on July 27, 2012:

"I went ahead and called the number. I didn't speak with a "live person" but in their menu they offer various options such as customer service, billing, technical support, etc. They answered as if they were 1and1. I hung up and then called 1and1 through the 1-866 number they offer for technical support. I asked if this number (610) 560-1500 was their number and told them about some of the posts where they had asked for people's password. They said this number was not them and that "no one" should ask you for your password over the phone. Also, I asked them to report them to their security department and they agreed they would do so."

Personally, I recently purchased a domain through 1and1 and have gotten a couple calls from this number.

I just got a call from them.   I didn't answer it, as I never do if I don't recognize the number.  I recently purchased a domain from them for 99 cents (within the last week), so if it is 1 and 1 that makes sense.  If it isn't, then these hackers are still somehow getting client information and need to be stopped.

Also, no one should provide their password over the phone to anyone they don't call themselves.  If someone calls and asks for your password, tell them you're not comfortable providing that information over the phone because "The Man" might have a tap on your line.

Also, you know, just don't answer the call and block the number if you have to do so.
