You should read Janet's comment again Sir, before you so IGNORANTLY CALL SOMEONE "DUMB"...!!!!!...! She DID NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION...! She said she was WONDERING if they already had some of her personal information, and were trying to get more. SHE DID NOT SAY SHE GAVE ANYONE HER CREDIT CARD INFO. YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS "DUMB", because your level of reading comprehension is that of a 5 year old...!!!! TAKE THAT TO YOUR IMAGINARY LAND IN THE EVERGLADES....!!!!!!
6105727125 They have called me like 8 times in the last 2 weeks. Makes me think that it may have to do with Student Loans and verifying that they have your current address and phone #. Anyone else have student loans that are being annoyed by these scumbags? Because why, like the other person said, would they be asking "is this Blah Blah?" Yes? Click. (Hangs Up)
Why would you give them any info at all? Are you special needs? Let me get this right. You don't know who they are yet you are giving them credit card info? I have some nice land in the everglades to sell you if you are that dumb.
Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.
Google "call blocker" for more information, or visit Amazon or similar sales site.
If you cannot use or afford to buy such a tool, then:
• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.

• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.
• Another option, for both smart and "dumb" cell phones: Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT. Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers. That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact! You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number! (This is also called "whitelisting").
If you want to report potential fraudulent or scam calls, here are two pages of links to (mostly government) sites in Canada and the USA were you can report those scams, or learn more about them.
