Did you receive a bill for the $11.06 in the US mail? Are you sure it's legitimate? Did you give the caller credit or debit card information? It's possible it's a scammer faking the number on your caller ID. Once they get your credit or debit card number they can wreak havoc on your accounts.
What is curious is that other people reported in this thread that they got calls about the same thing as you, but they either owe nothing or have had no contact with that hospital.
There are far too many scams of this type going around.
I got a call from this number. It was a bill collector from Abington Hospital. I DO have an outstanding balance, but they should have contacted my insurance company. So the number was legit, at least for me.
