Bell Canada does NOT call you from a (647) area code. It is always 1-(866), or your area code 310-xxxx. If it's a 'great deal' and you really want it, phone 310-BELL & get it.
Just got a call from this number and they were (big surprise) trying to sell me air duct cleaning. When I asked the caller if he knew what the 'DO NOT CALL' list was, he said 'Uhhhhhhhhh' and hung up. You can't call the number as it shows up - you get an error stating the call cannot be completed. Grow some teeth CRTC - you are completely useless!
Advice... google the local police department location in your area. Next time they call, just set up an appointment and give them the police address. The Local Duct cleaners will show up for the appointment and realize they are being pranked. After their time is wasted over and over again, This will lead these local companies to stop using foreign telemarketers from Pakistan/India/Bangladesh to call and set up appointments.
Do Not Call Lists have no authority over callers from Overseas. I don't know why most of you people think just because you're on the list you won't be called. Do you REALLY think your local police department will fly to India to investigate? Stop being so Naïve!
