received call today, i didn't say anything and no one spoke from the other side either. then called back and they said "survey time has been expired, hit 9 to remove yourself from our list".. so i did.
This number 1-647-557-5019 is belong to mafia. They are used to call to people's home and collect information of people. Don't give them any information at all because they use those information to sell for cash!!!!
Got this call 20 minutes ago...said hello..no one there...When I get a scam call I always leave the phone off the hook till I get a dial tone..I figure if they gotta pay a long distance charge then they can pay till I get a dial tone....
I heard on the news that doesn't work as they know the trick and they know that means you're home so all they do is ramp up the calls to your number at that same time every day. So leaving it off the hook doesn't charge them a thing and makes them call you even more. I answered yesterday at 2:15pm as I thought it was work related and guess what they called today exact same time.
I just got a call from this number on my cell and immediately came here to check it out. Did not answer. They did not leave a message. This sounds like the people at 438-800-0481 on Feb. 6, when I came here and read the other comments, people said it was for a cruise, if this is for a cruise also, sounds like it is the same scammers. I just got this number at the beginning of January, so how did they get my number so fast or did someone have this number previously.
