Got a call from this number. It was a rep. from National Auto Market, saying they saw our ad on Kijiji and wanted to buy our vehicle. They also sent me an email, with a phone number on it. When I tried to research the company, could not find any company info on their web-site. The phone number on their email was 866-680-0169. When I googled this number, I found other comments about this being a SCAM. so beware. If the rep calls back, I will try to get more company info before going any further. Certainly won't give them any personal info.
A rep called me from this number saying they're a financing company and were interested in financing our vehicle that we have on kijiji to buyers who have bad credit, it works as a private sale where they would send people to test out our vehicle and then purchase it. The twist is that they wanted a credit/visa or mastercard number for a deposit of $497 that we get back once the vehicle is sold , for a company that's based in Ontario ( which I can't find a website for linking they're number with) that was kind of a red flag for me, I mean if u end up paying them and it turns out to be a scam ( which I'm pretty sure it is) I can't physically go to the company ( being from Edmonton)...
Got a call regarding my truck on kijiji from National Auto Market saying that my truck was in demand and they wanted to sell it for me. The price was $497.97. The first guy said his name was Adrian Ross. He told me that if his manager called me then my truck was as good as sold (ya right). So his manager named John Anthony also called me and tried to get me to sign up for their service. I told him I wanted to think about it, and after looking at their website and not being able to find any other info on them I figured it was a scam. So be aware.
