How is it in this day and age people still ask "How did they get my cell number anyway?" Now lets say you had a computer that dialed phone numbers. So one day you decide to have it all all the phone numbers in XXX are code which is your area code, and to dial all the numbers in ZZZ exchange which is your exchange, and for the last four digits have it dial everything between 0000 and 9999. Think it might call your number? These texts are sent out just like spam e mails are sent out. This is why you should download a free blocking app if your phone does not have that capability already.
Thanks for the unwanted explanation of how a company could obtain someone's number. However, regardless of how it was obtained... there is still a such thing as violating someone's privacy. I also received an annoying text from this bs scam. I reported it to the FTC. I don't think that anyone in their right mind pays their cell phone bill every damn month to have someone text spam to them or a unknown/scammer call or text them. As for you Brad, if you haven't already I highly suggest you report this to the FTC.
There are 2 steps to reading, reading of courst is the first step, and then comprehension is the second. Now if you had taken the time to read and comprehend the post I replied to, you would have seen and understood that a question was asked.
