Got a text that said "hey Lindsey." I said who is this? and they replied saying "haha if u wanna know who this is u got to addd me on yahoo messenger, my id is textiewoman856. what a weirdo!
Got a text that simply said, "Hello Bill?". I did a very quick reverse lookup, and thought it could be a friend that might be in the area. I replied with, "Who is this?", about 10 mins after the initial contact. I have not received any reply. I'm assuming this text is phishing, and I have bitten by confirming this is an active number. I just hope that this is only sales, not viral, or data mining.
