Wow oh Wow !! How do you stop these maniacs ? Every single day I get this weird calls now & Im so tired of it. I called back this number and all you get is a recorded message that says, " If you do not want to get our promotions any more , press 1 & we will put you on our do not call list ! Man, I wanted to tell someone off ! haha ! You cant get a real person to answer, because they are too chicken ( you know what ) I want to ask them for THEIR home phone number , so I can call them every day or every other day, see how they like it, how can someone work at a job like this ? Its discusting, but I guess that's what you get when you don't have schooling & can get another job. I just put my number on the do not call list AGAIN, I don't know if it doesn't work anymore or what it going on. Weird numbers , weird names on caller ID. Ok Ive vented , good luck all . Don't know what else to do.

This post has two parts. The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list. The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.
1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone.
The DNC list is intended to help stop calls from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.
2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls. Instead, it provides a list of "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.
The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations, charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).
The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that. Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense. Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

I answered the urgent because I was so annoyed.
It was a recording. I laughed the whole way through the message. When they said they would send everything for no charge not even sgipping I continued to laugh but the topper was the check I would get for 3000.00 dollars.
I feel sorry for the seniors who they are targeting. I'm not a senior yet. When I didn't press 1 they hung up.
If they call again I think I will answer and have some fun with the scam man!!!
Be aware of calls from Washington or DC.
One claims to be from the IRS and that you owe money and they give your address (it's correct) and tell you if you don't pay within 48 hours ,they will come to your house and arrest you....If you do get the call and answer tell them fine I'll be waiting for tou at the door with 2 police officers. See how fast they hang up.
The one that says DC is scary you about your medical records. Just say may I have your name MR. SCAM MAN? They hang right up. I have to say when I answer and make fun of them or Question them they hang up and they don't call any more.
DNC list doesn't work especially if they are using fire phones which they can throw away.
