We got a call from this number today at 2:18 pm and didn't answer. A voice mail message was left informing us that if we are aged 60 years or older we qualify for the "new national senior assistance program" and can get a $3000 free grocery savings certificate and a free emergency medical alert device. This is a new number for this scam and will be added to our call blocker. When I called back I heard a recording which instructed me to press 1 if I don't want to hear about any of their "special promotions". Pressing 1 would do nothing because our number on outgoing calls is blocked by default. At any rate, we are on the do not call list, and such telemarketing is a violation of the law.

American Alert Services offering "$3000 in discounts" from grocery stores with your medical alert device. Low-life's taking advantage of senior citizens.
Yes. IF you are an old faht, you can expect calls from these scumbags. I always block their number with a service disconnected message but they call again a month later with a different CID display.
