Too bad you can't track the location of the phone like you can when you've lost your own phone or have it stolen. The phone manufacturers don't want to put a complete kill switch into their products because they are making a multi million dollars profit by selling  $500 replacements to peeps who don't want to pay  $10 a month for insurance. $10 a month is cheap compared to paying  $500 to  $700 for replacement smart phones. Too bad the free recovery application software.can't send a 240 volts shock to their tiny nuts. Great job. You can tell your Grandchildren you stole cell phones  for a living. Real men, hah? If you do somehow catch up with the dippy dude, can you tie him up and let me know what telephone pole he's tied to so I can run my car into the pole with a big pillow on my front end. I won't mind throwing a bloody pillow away if it's for a good cause. Maybe the Saudi have a great idea about cutting off the hands of petty crooks and scammers although I've got a plan for more hidden body parts. It won't embarrass them in public like having 2 arms missing but their sex life would be severely limited. We could put up signs saying "Don't be missing a Dick for copping a smartphone, that's not smart, but you'll be smarting something and no one will ever be copping you anymore.
