Yes, these guys try to get money out of you. They called me on my cell, and this morning they left a message my work. I have no idea how they got my work phone number. They use American names but have a very strong accent. They tell you that you owe money. This is scam. I called the police about this matter. I actually called them back and pretended that I believe them trying to get as much information out of them as possible. They now hang up on me. I think we changed places. They think that I am spam now :-)
The call came on my cell phone with an ID of 1000. He spoke with an accent, stating his name was Jule or Jude? Tell me or my recent attorney to return this call. Then stated, "Don't disregard this message, if you do, all I can do is wish you LUCK". He left his "HOTLINE Number 650-490-4968.
He sounded just like a call from a scanner several months ago. He had my work and home number. I called my local police department and they told me it was a scam. I notified the local police from the area code the call came from and they refused to do anything. These guys will continue to do since the police won't do anything about it.
My co-worker just received a call from what appears to be the same guy. He told her that unless she paid $537 she would go to jail. He would not give the address of the Law Firm (First something or another) nor was he willing to send any documentation proving she owed anyone anything.
B as in B, S and is S this is a royal scam... Raise your voice to him and he threatens to hang-up.
My advice, YELL AT THE LITTLE BAST**D and make him hang up
This number called me three times and left me a voicemail that sounded like a threat to me. punched the number in to do a reverse lookup and this popped up, makes me want to hunt them down!!!!
