I got the same message, and I do have a Wells Fargo account. Thank god I googled this number before giving our my 16-digit card number. Thank you guys. Anybody would something about it? Reporting to the police?
DO NOT CONTACT THE NUMBER. Definitely a scam. I don't even have an account with Wells Fargo, so there is no way that my non-existent card could have been deactivated.

Gotta love google. It seemed sketch right away but I had to login my account since I do bank with WF. Saw that everything looked fine and did a search of the # to see if its related to WF. But a 507 area code texting with a 650 number at 9pm is very strange. Be careful.
