"if they are scammers or not but what I do know is that they have been online and working like this for a few years and if they were scammers they would of been shut down long time ago or using different numbers because they would be monitored by the FBI" Not true. They may be from another country that does not cooperate with American law enforcement. Since calls can be easily spoofed, it is many times very difficult to trace them.
No real company uses text to communicate with job seekers.
So if you feel that they are not scammers, feel free to call them back. Most likely it will be a work at home position, with a huge pay amount, and you will be sent a check to deposit, then withdraw money immediately and send out for office supplies, etc. The check will be no good and you will be out the money and the fees the bank charges.
I got the same message, a slightly different number. I was wondering, did you ever call that number? It's at least with USA, not some foreign country where you will be charged big bucks.. plz let me know if you called, what they said! I did apply for a job on job board yesterday.
I received a text from this phone number after I applied to a job opening online. I called the phone number in the text and nothing but music played for 5 minutes, after which time I hung up. Seems sort of fishy, especially for a Sunday afternoon.
