got a call today from 4126924569 telling me that if i call 6509630918 i would be given all the info on a debt they needed to collect for an internet loan. The man (i guess) said his name was Rensli Adams and that he was from the Dept. of law and investigationsand that there would be an officer at my door to arrest me friday by 5pm. Could tell that it was a scam by the tone and deep hindi style accent.
Got a call from 650-963-0918, left message on July 20th 2010 saying they were from "Cyber Crime Division" I called back today, guy was real vague about his details other than that he was from California, but knew all of mine. Bank #, SS#, name address, everything. Said I was being charged with fraud, and it would be filed on Monday. said I took out a loan in 2009 but no date. for $300 and it was now $550 and never repayed the company doesn't want $ just to set an example. I said I never got a loan, and I can prove it with my bank records. He said call him back in a few min with the information and hung up on me. I checked my paper records and have no deposit for 300. called back and got busy signal.
I too got a call from 650-963-0918 on July 20th 2010 I was not at home at the time so they left a message on my answer machine.I heard it when I got home I never called it back.This morning July 21st 2010 I got another message So I called them back.The guy who answered said he was from "cyber crime unit and that I had a "case downloaded against my name" He was VERY vague at what was said and he had ALL of my info my SS # AND so on.He then told me he couldn't give me any more info..If I needed a lawyer If I couldn't afford one one will be appointed to me.Then hung up on me.I am going to report these people & hopefully one day they will be get caught for trying to scam people all around the world.Cyber
reminds me, i had a some strange messages a few months ago, saying to call or have my attorney call, not sure if it was same #. But that if I chose to ignore the call something like"only god can help you now" calls stopped for a while and now this. From other numbers I've read about on here it seems to be the same scam, or they all have the same idea.

Went to bank and changed everything, also ss office, starting paperwork and forms for reporting it. Pain in the ars for sure, but life can always be worse. glad this site is on the web, thanks to everyone else who has had similar experiences with scams like this one.

Got a very vague threatening call on my answering Machine from 650-963-0918. Caller had a heavy Hindi Accent. Really could not understand him well. Sounded like a bunch of nonsense claiming to be from some Law Enforcement agency, calling about a vague debt.
