I just received a call from Joe Quinn as well asking to speak to an attorney regarding an "accident/DUI". Incredibly rude and knew something was suspicious, so I googled his number and sure enough he's a scammer! Thanks for the heads up!!
He just called another FL office asking for a certain attorney in our firm. He said it was regarding a car accident. When I tried to find out more information, he was very rude. His name was familiar so I googled him as well. AVOID!
Joe Quinn just called asking for a specific attorney. He gave his "cell" number as 718-263-0126 and asked the attorney he asked for to call him. I asked what his call was in regard to and he said "It's about a personal injury." This guy has been calling law firms since 2011. Has anyone talked to him seriously and if so, what was the conversation about (doubtful that it's protected by attorney-client privilege)? Is he selling something?
Our law firm has received multiple calls from Joe Quinn at both our offices demanding to speak to the attorney who is the sole partner stating he has an auto accident case to discuss with him. The most recent call was this morning. I screen all potential client calls for our firm. When I told him the attorney was unavailable and asked if there was something I could help with he said "no just have the attorney call me." He then provided his cell phone number of (718) 263-0126. I wasn't sure why I recalled the name so I googled him and the telephone number. The telephone number was also reported as a Verizon cell phone number belonging to Nathan and Vina Fleisig out of Forest Hills, NY. After the google search, I remembered him and that he had called several times in the past. I don't recall him being belligerent or vulgar like with others but he was definitely short-fused. When I asked Joe Quinn today if this was a marketing call or an actual accident he was involved in, he replied "maam, why would I, never mind, I'll call someone else." I just said ok and hung up. I don't know if he is a telemarketer or just some "crazy" man. He doesn't provide a business name and I doubt his name is actually Joe Quinn. He probably uses an alias to hide behind so that he can continue his behavior without recourse.
He is the advertising rep for a web site. "For ADVERTISING information, please call Joe Quinn toll free at 718-263-0126." It claims to be a union affiliated site but really seems to be nothing but an advertising site targeted at union members.
Joe Quinn called us multiple times today initially pretending to be an individual looking for legal representation. His first two calls ended up with him being unwilling to give any information to our support staff, with Joe Quinn unleashing a torrent of vulgar profanity, and hanging up.
When he called back, I got on the line quickly with him, he started making his sales pitch. While I was on the phone, I googled his name and his website thelaborsite.com and saw that he's been pulling the same nonsense for years and years.
I politely told him that we weren't interested in his advertising or referral services, at which point he let loose with a string of cursing of verbal abuse before hanging up.
It seems that this is a sales scam combined with Joe Quinn's personal mental health issues.
