They just did this to my Dad and he really wanted to believe that it was true he recieved a call yesterday morning they called him back and told him that he would be receiving a new Toyota Camry and a cash prize thru Bank of America. They supplied him with the Bank of America routing number and a check number (wich will not do anything for them, no way to verify the check). They then told him to go purchase the Green Card for $500.00 to cover the applicable taxes to put the car in their name in Alabama. He was told they would be there today with the car at 2:30 but then at 12:30 they called and said they were in town at the court house and having problems getting the taxes taken care of and he needed to go buy two more cards for $500.00 and meet them at the court house. At this time I pulled up the number by reverse phone serch and found all of these complaints. This is a BIG SCAM company and I hope that anyone else that looks up the number and finds these comments will not fall for any of it. PCH does not work this way. My family deserves a win but NO family deserves to be caught up in a SCAM like this one.
i called the better business bureau they said it was a scam--- the guy i spoke to from the " lawfirm" , a mr. riley, that called from the number 718-312-0862 even gave me another number he said he would find me a sponser the cover $250 that i had to put on a green dot pak money card before i could get my check for $500,000!!! i looked that number up too and it was also a scam!!!
My parents received a call from this number stating they were from Publishers Clearing House and they had won a car.. it is a scam. Called PCH and they said they would report it to the National Trade Commission. But, not much can be done to stop this sort of scam according to everyone I have tried to report it to. By not stopping this, are we saying it is okay to let this continue? HELP... what can be done?
